Started playing sports from a young age mainly football and goalkeeping, Played semi professionally through university where I studied sports. I gained a keen interest in fitness at this time and due to a few injuries gave up football competitively (ankles). Through my interest in fitness I completed my personal training qualifications and started to PT as well as coach several sports.
I knew I liked to help people and being a PT I could do this and have worked with all levels of clients from them who are looking to lose allot of weight to those a few pounds for their next holiday as well as sports specific clients. I have also had issues and can still struggle with weight control so I like to pass on what I do and have learnt to clients who need help in the same way and understand the journey they are following.
while being a PT I soon realised I had an eye to help injuries and started to study in this area especially to be qualified to help people down the path of recovery and this is where I gained my Level 4 qualification in sports therapy and Exercise referral. I heave helped people with minor problems such as a strain to helping a young man out of a wheelchair after 16 years. I also work with a variety of clients with disabilities and run a specific bootcamp weekly with a local company that provides social care.
Personally now I like to play American football (I know I mentioned injuries and football but never had an issue in this sport) I train myself to keep fit for this working on strength and conditioning to be functionally fit on the Gridiron.
